During a few weeks fairly heavy with film, I thought I’d drop by the North Canton Elementary School Art exhibit at the Little Art Gallery. The exhibit will be up through Apr. 5 (which you would know if you remembered to check out the calendar in the sidebar - all the exhibits I hear about are updated on every Sunday), and I think I might be even more impressed than I was by the middle school exhibit.
There are so many mixed media pieces in the gallery, I can’t help but be a little jealous of the stuff these kids are getting the chance to do. There’s more metalwork and sketches, but there are some of what seem to be very well-executed woodblock prints. Take some time this weekend to drop by the gallery, if you get the chance.
I might also mention that the annual May show is coming up for the gallery. Check their site for more information on that.
